From: "Ryan, Phil" Subject: Email to/from CompuServe Date: Mon, 23 Aug 93 14:19:00 PDT A guide to email to and from the commercial network, CompuServe. ______________________________________________________________________ Apparently the correct way of emailing to the Internet FROM CompuServe is to preface the Internet address with '>Internet:'. i.e. of the following form in the 'to:' field of the email note: >Internet:username@address This is consistent with other message forms, such as fax ('>Fax:....') used by CompuServe. (A previous note by Randy Padawer leaves out the colon between the word 'Internet' and the user's address.) ______________________________________________________________________ In order to email TO CompuServe (from Internet) is even easier: nnnnn.nnnn@compuserve.com where 'nnnnn.nnnn' represents the multi-digit numerical address of the Compuserve user. This means that if the CompuServe user had an address of 12345,1234, then you would send email to him or her using the following Internet address: 12345.1234@compuserve.com
